Other family therapists
Family therapy may be available in NHS or social work services. But access is uncertain and indirect - for example, you need a GP to refer you to your local Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services who may offer FT within their multi-disciplinary teams. To access these services promptly you need to show more specific worrying concern than problems with your family's relationships. Adults have even less likelihood of relationship help in the state sector.
It's better to get help when and as you require it, rather than waiting until things gets bad enough for the NHS and local authority services.
As well as the FT team at CCL, the following family therapists work in the Edinburgh area and are able to take direct or self-referrals for FT.
